Online Pitching Event hurl by Japanese VC for SEA Startups
CyberAgent Capital Inc reported that its largest global monthly fundraising event for start-ups in Japan targeting Southeast Asia, ‘Monthly Pitch Asia,’ was held online.
The company began ‘Monthly Pitch’ where early-stage entrepreneurs can swiftly meet investors active in Asia, allowing them to spend minimal time on fundraising and concentrate more on their business. January 2021 marks the 44th time this monthly event has been held by CyberAgent Capital since 2016, with 330 businesses taking the stage, making it Japan’s largest fundraising event.
On 13 January, the most recent event, usually offline, took place online, featuring pitches from six start-ups in Southeast Asia and meetings between start-ups and investors around the world.
The previous ‘Monthly Pitch’ was an overseas edition held in Jakarta in 2019, according to a statement.
Kyna (Vietnam) was among the start-ups to take the stage were Vietnam’s leading online education service; Edoctor (Vietnam): Vietnam’s online health platform service; and TheBank (Vietnam): Vietnam’s pricing comparison service for financial products. Others were Getlinks (Thailand): Thailand’s online recruitment site for IT staff; Viddsee (Indonesia, Singapore): Southeast Asia’s largest professional short film creator platform in the world; and Moladin (Indonesia): Motorcycles and Cars’ largest EC platform operation.
